The Los Angeles Business Council held their 2018 Los Angeles Architectural Award Ceremony on June 1, 2018, with nearly 600 guests in attendance. The Julius Shulman Emerging Talent Competition provides a scholarship to a team of three architecture students in a local university or college after a jury selects a winner from multiple submittals. For this year’s competition, a site near La Verne’s future Gold Line station was selected for the competition. The team selected for their winning design were from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Other schools who participated were Cal Poly Pomona, USC, UCLA, and Woodbury University. A video recap of the competition can be viewed here:
